Urologist
ALEXANDRIA – Services for retired urologist Dr. Wilbur Wells will be Monday. He died March 6 at age 95.
He was a U.S. Navy veteran of World War II and the Korean War. He practiced in Alexandria from 1954-1992. He was a former Medical Society president and assistant clinical professor of urology at Tulane Medical School and a consultant in urology for the Social Security Administration.
Survivors include several children.

Banker
BATON ROUGE – Services for retired banker Winston Canning were Saturday. He died March 6 at age 89.
He was a U.S. Navy veteran of the Pacific theater of World War II. He worked 20 years for First National Bank in San Angelo, Texas before becoming senior vice president of Capital Bank and Trust, Baton Rouge.
Survivors include two sons.
Historian
MONTPELIER – Services for the unofficial historian of St. Helena Parish, Inez Tate, will be Monday. She died March 8 at age 85.
She was the author of several books about the parish and the town of Montpelier.
Survivors include three sons.
