Anna Murphy died on Tuesday, December 17, 2013 at Acadian Medical Center in Eunice. She was 89. A Celebration of Life will be celebrated at 2:30 pm at Ardoin’s Funeral Home Chapel in Eunice on Thursday, December 19, 2013. Interment will follow in the Green Oak Cemetery in Kinder with Msgr. Robert Romero officiating.
Survivors include two sons, Jim Murphy and wife, Sharon of Eunice, and Tony Marcantel and wife, Sara of Tulsa, Okla.; two daughters, Audrey Pitre of Kinder and Dorothy Staton and husband, John of Westlake; two sisters, Merzie Laughlin of Mamou and Gladie Maris of Iota ; and numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, William Murphy; a son, Bob Murphy; parents, Milton and Louise McGee Israel; brothers, LaWood, Clienus, Hampton and Calvin Israel.
Visitation will be held at Ardoin’s Funeral Home on Wednesday, December 18th from 5:00 pm until 9:00 pm and again on Thursday, December 19th from 12 noon until time of services. Deacon Gary Gaudin will recite a Rosary at 6 Wednesday evening.
