Former mayor
KAPLAN – Services were March 1 or former mayor Dalfares Trahan. He died Feb. 27 at age 81.
He was mayor from 1982 to 1986 and was former owner of Trahan Farm Services.
Survivors include a son and a daughter.
Long-time School Board member
Kaplan -- Services for long-time Vermilion School Board member Harold Hehert, Sr. were March 2. He died Feb. 27 at age 77.
He was a rice farmer who served on the School Board for 23 years.
Survivors include his wife Beverly, two sons and a daughter.
