Dorothy "Dot" Fontenot Cunningham passed away on Wednesday, June 17, 2015, at the age of 76.
Funeral Services will be held on Saturday, June 20, 2015, at Friendship Baptist Church in Pine Prairie at 12:00
p.m. Pastor Kevin West will officiate. Burial will follow at Friendship Baptist Church in Pine Prairie.
"Dot" is survived by her mother, Oma Eunice Williamson of Pine Prairie; her children Cecil Cunningham of Eunice,
Reva Guillory and husband Rickey of Eunice, Ronda Bihm and husband Johnny of Eunice, and Gerald Cunningham
and Kim Peloquin of Eunice; her siblings, Nita Fontenot of Bryan, TX, Winston Fontenot and wife Charlene of Pine
Prairie, Lenny Dale Williamson and Marlo of Lafayette, Lenny Lee Williamson of Pineville, Janet Cole and Rickey of
Pine Prairie, Derwin Williamson of Pine Prairie, Trampis Williamson and Angie of Pine Prairie; her grandchildren, Holly
Bihm and Sean Whalen, Samantha Bihm and Cameron Frey, Jacob Bihm and Katy Douget, Andre Guillory and Sarah
Tellez and son Jo'el Thomas, Joshua Cunningham, Justin Ashworth, and Kelsy Ashworth; and her great-grandchildren,
Zachary Paul Guillory and Emma Kate Guillory.
"Dot" was preceded in death by her father, Ferdie Fontenot; her husband, Peter Donald Cunningham; her maternal
grandparents, Charlie and Zeola West; her paternal grandparents, Hillary and Emma Fontenot; and a special aunt,
Georgie Ortego.
The family would like to extend gratitude to the doctors and staff at Opelousas General Hospital.
At the request of the family, visitation will be held on Friday, June 19, 2015, from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. at Quirk & Son Funeral
Home in Eunice. The funeral home will reopen at 8 a.m. on Saturday for visitation until the time of service.

EUNICE~It is with heavy hearts that the family of Karina A. Vasseur announces her passing on the morning of Thursday, June 18, 2015 at the Basile Care Center with loving family by her side at the age of 85. A Mass of Christian Burial will be Celebrated at 1:00 pm on Saturday, June 20, 2015 at St. Thomas More Catholic Church in Eunice. Rite of Committal will follow in the Reed Cemetery with Msgr. Robert Romero Celebrant and Deacon Gary Gaudin assisting.
Karina was a seamstress, an avid bouree player and she enjoyed the casino. Most of all, she adored her family and friends and enjoyed spending time with them. She was a loving mother, grandmother and friend and will be very deeply missed by her four daughters, Brenda Deshotel and husband, Nolan of Lafayette, Missy Vasseur of Basile, Dewana LaFleur of Eunice and Sam Burnitt and husband, Chris of Hayes; eight grandchildren, Monique Fabacher, Drake Deshotel, Jamie Darbonne, Dustin, Pebbles, and Bryce LaFleur, Joseph Gaspard, Jr. and Deneyea Gaspard; fourteen great grandchildren; as well as extended family and friends.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Erain L. Vasseur; her parents, Tanas and Lelia Manuel Aucoin; brother, Rappson Aucoin and a grandson, B.J. Berzas.
At the request of the family, visitation will be held at Ardoin’s Funeral Home in Eunice on Friday, June 19th from 10:00 am until time of services on Saturday, June 20th. Deacon Gary Gaudin will recite a Rosary at 6:00 pm Friday evening.

EUNICE ~ Visitation for Deacon “Da’’ Rogers Gallow, Jr. will be from 4:00 pm to 7:00 pm with funeral services following at 7:00 pm, both at New Zion Baptist Church, 251 Nimtz St., Eunice, LA on Monday, June 22, 2015. Burial will be in the Mt. Olive Cemetery with Pastor Allen W. Ben officiating.
Rogers passed away at 11:30 pm, Monday, June 15, 2015 at Acadiana Medical Center in Eunice.
Brother Gallow was a very devoted and faithful member of New Zion Baptist Church. He served on the Deacon Board, Communion Ministry and the Sick and Shut in Ministry. He attended Charles Drew High School. Gallow was the type of person who would help and assist anybody, whether he knew them or not. He was self employed in the carpentry industry for 30+ years. He loved his family dearly. He was an excellent and loving father and grandfather. He was a real friend that could really be depended on. Last but not least, he was a God-fearing man.
Survivors include his mother: Mrs. Nolia Gallow of Eunice; two sons, Jeremiah Dozier of Baton Rouge, and Jessie Dozier of San Diego, CA; four daughters: Shawonne Gallow of LaPorte, TX, Danielle Gallow and Taylor Dapremont, both of Eunice and Asia Tillis of Arlington, TX; two brothers, Frank Gallow and Elliot Gallow, both of Eunice; one sister, Gertie Vigers (John) of Eunice; 7 grandchildren; and 1 great-grandchild.
He was preceded in death by his maternal and paternal grandparents; and his father, Rogers Gallow, Sr.
Pallbearers will be: Jordan Williams, Deron Williams, David Ceasar, Jeremiah Gallow, Jemario Joseph, and Javon Pemberton.

VILLE PLATTE – It is with great sadness and heavy hearts that the family of Dr. Gardnel “Doc” Sylvester, age 82, announces his passing on Saturday, June 20, 2015 at his residence surrounded by his loved ones. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Wednesday, June 24, 2015 at 10:00 AM at Our Lady Queen of all Saints Catholic Church in Ville Platte. Rite of Committal will follow in the Gates of Heaven Cemetery with Father Mitchell Guidry, celebrant.
A loving husband, father, brother, and grandfather, “Doc” will be sadly missed by his wife of 63 years, Dolores Sebastien Sylvester of Ville Platte, two sons Carl Sylvester and wife Sally of Ville Platte and Keith Sylvester and wife Penny of Alexandria, daughter Kathryn S. Foster and husband Dr. David of Charleston, West Virginia and brother Dr. Roland Sylvester of New Iberia. Also left behind to cherish his memory are his nine grandchildren: Greg Foster and wife Bridget, Brad Foster and wife Robin, Doug Foster and wife Carla, Sarah Sylvester, Christopher Sylvester, Jason Sylvester, Taylor Sylvester, Sydney Sylvester, and Morgan Sylvester and four great grandchildren: Conner, Parker, Cole and Elsie Foster.
“Doc” now rests in Heaven with his parents Dillard and Lela Sylvester and his two brothers J. L. Sylvester and Clyde Sylvester.

EUNICE~It is with heavy hearts that the family of Emma Jane LeJeune announces her passing on Tuesday, June 23, 2015 in the comfort of her home surrounded by her loved ones at the age of 78. A Mass of Christian Burial will be Celebrated at 11:00 am on Friday, June 26, 2015 at St. Thomas More Catholic Church in Eunice. Entombment will follow in the St. Paul Mausoleum with Father Sensat Celebrant.
Emma, known to many as ''Jane'' was a housewife who loved working in her community. She was a member of the Ladies Altar Society and was a Eucharistic Minister. She loved to dance, read, travel, camping and doing ceramics. Most of all, she was a loving wife, mother, sister, grandmother and friend and will be missed dearly by all who knew and loved her especially her loving husband of 63 years, Charles LeJeune of Eunice; her four children, Pamela Vidrine of Moss Bluff, Cindy LeJeune, Bernard LeJeune and wife, Karen and Amanda ''Mandi'' LeJeune all of Eunice; her brother, Harris Soileau and wife, Diane of Bayou Vista and two sisters, Virgie Prejean of Mamou and Rosa Belle Fontenot of Port Arthur, TX. She was a loving grandmother to eleven grandchildren, Ferral , Rusty and Nick Vidrine, Eric Ousley and Lacy LeJeune, Chris and Drake LeJeune, Emily and Gavin Trahan and Lane and Logan Eubanks; eleven great grandchildren and two great great grandchildren; as well as extended family and friends.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Marshall and Mazie Pitre Soileau; three brothers, Joseph and Wayne Soileau and Larry Fontenot; and four sisters, Nellie Soileau, Hazie Bertrand, Barbara Soileau and Joyce Reed.

VILLE PLATTE- It is with great sadness and heavy hearts that the family of John Deville, 73, announces his passing at Mercy Regional Medical Center in Ville Platte. Funeral Services will be held for Mr. Deville on Saturday, June 27, 2015 at 11 AM in the Ardoin's Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow in the Evangeline Memorial Park Cemetery.
John worked as executive chef for Antoine's Restaurant in New Orleans for over 48 years.
A loving father, grandfather and friend, John will greatly missed by his two sons; John Mitchell Deville and wife Laura of Mesquite, Tx., Nathan Deville and wife Danielle of New Orleans, La., and one daughter, Barbara Deville Jacob of Mesquite, TX. Also left behind to cherish his memory are his seven grandchildren, John, Nicholas, Tori, Brandon, Brian, Alayna, Mia and his two great grand-children, Landon and Jeremy.
John will now reunite in Heaven with his wife, Mary Deville, parents, Gustave and Melinda Deville and sister, Mary Jane Deville LaFleur. They will be awaiting his arrival with open arms and joyous hearts.

Cecilia was a homemaker and devoted her life to the care of her family. She was a wonderful, dedicated, generous and hard working Mother. She will be missed dearly by all who knew and loved her especially her two sons, Melvin Paul Thibodeaux and Anthony A. Thibodeaux and wife, Tammy all of Mowata; her five daughters, Marlene Robles and husband, Noel of Yuma, AZ., Margaret Fontenot and late husband, Roland Fontenot of Carencro, Betty Fontenot and husband, Larry and Theresa Simon and husband, Clarence all of Eunice, and Susie Karimi and husband, Siamack of Merrilleville, IN. She was blessed with thirteen grandchildren, and further blessed with eleven great grandchildren; as well as extended family and friends.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Leroy Thibodeaux; a son, Joseph Roy Thibodeaux; her parents, Armas and Lorena Aguillard Leger; one great granddaughter, Mackenize Fontenot.

EUNICE - It is with the heaviest hearts that the family of Ross Michael Andrus announces his passing on Thursday, June 25, 2015 at the age of 24. Calvary Cemetery with Father Brad Doyle Celebrant.
Ross was an inspector who lived life to the fullest and his happiest times were spent creating memories with family and friends. He enjoyed the outdoors, hunting, fishing, drag racing, mud riding and cooking. He was a wonderful person and will be remembered as one who was always happy and always had a smile. He had love for people because everyone was family to him and he loved his religion.
He will be missed dearly by all who knew and loved him especially his loving wife, Jamie R. Andrus of Hammond; his parents, Michael and Michelle Andrus of Eunice; his two sisters, Lindsay Cleland and husband, Johnathon of Carencro and Madelyn Andrus of Eunice; his paternal grandparents, Charles and Irma Andrus of Basile; his in-laws, Jeffrey and Judy Richoux of Gretna; his brother-in-law, Jason Richoux and wife, Melissa of Mandeville; his nephews and nieces, Nora Kate Cleland, Landon, Lanah and Lucy Richoux; as well and extended family and friends.
He is preceded in death by his maternal grandmother, Willie Mae Fuselier.

Rite of Committal will follow in the St. Peter's Cemetery with Father Richard Broussard Celebrant.
A devoted wife, mother, grandmother and friend, Ella Mae will be greatly missed by her husband of 71 years, Jules Simon Fontenot, Jr of Eunice; sons, Donald Fontenot and wife Sara of Pineville, and Mark Fontenot and wife, Yvette of Mamou; daughters, Dorothy Serlin and husband, Phillip of Stanton, Ca, Teresa Miller and husband, Shelton of Egan and Susan Bergeron and husband, Paul of Eunice; one sister, Vivian Hall and husband, Johnie of Eunice; thirteen grandchildren and thirty-three great grandchildren.
Ella Mae will now reunite on Heaven with her parents, Addison and Lenore Guillory, one brother, Roosevelt Guillory, two sisters, Evelyn Guillory and Vergie Pierrotti and her granddaughters, Kristyn Fontenot and Rebecca Sliman. They surely await her arrival with open arms and joyous hearts.

Lougenia is survived by her step-father, CJ Vidrine; two sons, Michael Duplichan of Basile, and
Kenneth Vigee of Basile; one daughter, Vicki Duplichan Chappell; one sister, Barbara Manuel of Basile;
seven grandchildren; and seven great grandchildren.
Lougenia was preceded in death by her parents, Preston Johnson and Nola Bellon Vidrine; her
husband, Oran Louis Vigee; three brothers, Michael Johnson, Sanford Paul Johnson, and Roland
Johnson.
Lougenia was cremated and at the request of the family, there will be no memorial services.

Gerald, or ''Jay'' as he was affectionately called by family and friends, was a proud veteran of the United States Army. He was the owner/operator of West End Radiator Shop where he retired after over 60 years. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and especially time spent with his beloved family. A loving husband, father, grandfather and friend Jay will be missed dearly by all who knew him especially his loving wife of 64 years, Cecelia Landreneau Fontenot of Eunice; four wonderful daughters, Pamela Fontenot Soileau and husband, George, Mona Fontenot Guillory and husband, Gerald, Carla Fontenot Miller and husband, James ''Terry'' and Jackie Fontenot Thibodeaux and husband, Bart all of Eunice. He was blessed with six grandchildren, Jason Sonnier and wife, Jeanne, Taffy Fall and husband, Lance, Yvette Hollier and husband, Bryan, Robbie Miller and wife, Natasha, Sandi Miller and Jacob Thibodeaux; two step grandchildren, Alicia Thibodeaux and Jeremy Thibodeaux and wife, Kelli; further blessed with fifteen great grandchildren, Erin, Kaylen and Brett Sonnier, Kalob, Alex and Drew Zaunbrecher, Kasen and Wesley Hollier, Mila Kate Miller, Carter, Landon and Allie Grace Olivier, Joshua, Benjamin and Jonah Thibodeaux; and the proud grandfather of one great granddaughter, Aubrey Clair Zaunbrecher.

Geraldine was retired from the Acadia Parish School Board where she worked as a teacher's aide at Richard Elementary. She was a loving mother, grandmother and friend and will be missed dearly by her daughter, Danielle Devillier and fiance', Benjamin Fusilier of Eunice; grandson, Slade Fusilier of Eunice; sister, Judy Gotreaux of Richard; and nephew, Barry Gotreaux.
She is preceded in death by her beloved parents, Isaac and Lillie LeJeune Richard.

Wanda Sue Cain Monier passed away on Sunday, July 5, 2015, at the age of 74.
Funeral Services will be held on Thursday, July 9, 2015, at 10 a.m. at Quirk & Son Funeral
Home. Deacon David Guillory will officiate. Burial will follow at Mt. Calvary Cemetery.
Wanda is survived by her husband, Jerald Monier of Eunice; one daughter, Mona Marie Monier of
Eunice; one son, Jim Monier; and four sisters, Carolyn Dupra of Constable, NY, Faye Bacon of Bend,
OR, Carrie Calvin of Jerome, ID, and Veva Kessler of Wichita, KS.
Wanda was preceded in death by her mother, Mary Gates McMillan and stepfather, Ben Frank McMillan.
At the request of the family, visitation will be held on Wednesday, July 8, 2015, from 1 p.m. to 8 p.m. A
Rosary will prayed at 6 p.m. Wednesday evening by Deacon David Guillory. The funeral home will reopen on
Thursday, July 9, 2015, for visitation until the time of service.

EUNICE~It is with heavy hearts that the family of Houston Fontenot announces his passing on the morning of Tuesday, July 07, 2015, at Eunice Manor surrounded by his loved ones at the age of 82. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 2:00 pm on Friday, July 10, 2015, at St. Thomas More Catholic Church in Eunice. Burial will follow in the Mt. Calvary Cemetery with Father Randy Moreau officiating.
Houston proudly served his country in the United States Navy during the Korean War. He retired from Ardoin's Funeral Home as a Manager and Funeral Director after servicing families for over 36 years. Houston was a volunteer fireman for over 20 years, an assistant volunteer Fire Chief for several years, a member of the American Legion, a past member of the Eunice Lion's Club and a parishioner and usher of St. Thomas More. He loved his wife and family and enjoyed spending time with them. He was a supportive and loving husband, father, grandfather, brother and friend and will be very deeply missed by his loving wife of 56 years, Sandra Richard Fontenot of Eunice; his three daughters, Dana Hollier and husband, Lloyd of Eunice, Arlene Guidry and husband, Terry of Carencro, and Suzanne Fontenot of Abbeville; two brothers, Huvan Fontenot of Corona, CA and Wayne Fontenot and wife, Jackie of Mamou; three sisters, Isabelle Prejean, Juanita Miller and husband, Herman, and Audrey Martel and husband, Gerald all of Eunice; eight grandchildren, Steven Hollier and wife, Haley, Shelly Hollier, Keri Hollier, Terie Nichole Patin and husband, Korrey, Geoffrey Guidry and wife, Annie, Kalyn Benoit and husband, Daniel, Zachary Guidry and wife, Krystal, and McKenzie Guidry; nine great grandchildren, Addison and Lilly Hollier, Alivia and Kason Patin, Evelyn Guidry, Briley and Emery Benoit, Caiden and Zoey Guidry; as well as extended family and dear friends.
He is preceded in death by his son, Darby Fontenot; and parents, Poleg and Media LaFleur Fontenot.
At the request of the family, visitation will be held at Ardoin's Funeral Home in Eunice on Thursday, July 9th, from 2:00 pm until 10:00 pm and again on Friday, July 10th, from 8:00 am until time of services. Father Randy Moreau will recite a Rosary at 7:00 pm Thursday evening.

Anna Thibodeaux passed away on Wednesday, July 08, 2015, at the age of 79.

Anna is survived by one son, Barry Bordelon, I and wife Theresa of Eunice; one daughter, Karen Bordelon
Hayes of Eunice; one brother, Horris Joe Thibodeaux of Natchitoches; one sister, Mabel Glover of Ville Platte;
thirteen grandchildren; and nineteen great grandchildren.
Anna was preceded in death by her parents, Theo Thibodeaux and Ella Bergeron Thibodeaux; one son, Robert Bordelon;
two brothers, John Thibodeaux and Donald Thibodeaux; one sister, Ethel Thibodeaux.
At the request of the family, visitation will be held on Thursday, July 9, 2015, from 10:00 AM to 10:00 PM at

Aneria Ardoin Miller passed away on Wednesday, July 8, 2015, at the age of 87.

Aneria is survived by two daughters, Lena Miller and companion Randy Brossette of Mamou and Linda
Miller Young and husband Edward Young, Jr. of Jennings; four grandchildren, Leanna Coker and husband
'Robert, Aneria Savoy and husband Justin, Austin James Reed, and Katie Lynn Young; and four
great-grandchildren.
Aneria was preceded in death by her parents, Eddie Ardoin and Lucette Fournerat Ardoin; her husband,
Austin Miller; and one son, Roman Lee Miller.
At the request of the family, visitation will be held on Thursday, July 9, 2015, from 1:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m.
A Rosary will be prayed on Thursday at 5:00 p.m. by Monsignor Robert Romero. The funeral home will reopen
on Friday at 8:00 a.m. for visitation until the time of service.
