EUNICE~It is with the heaviest hearts and great sadness that the family of Julia and Jayia Watford announces their passing on Sunday, September 27, 2015. Julia was 16 and Jayia was 9. A Celebration of Life will be celebrated at 1:00 pm on Saturday, October 03, 2015 at Ardoin's Funeral Home Chapel in Eunice. Inurnment will follow in the Mt. Calvary Cemetery with Deacon Gary Gaudin officiating.
Julia was a 11th grade student who loved to help people , loved animals and her favorite were horses. Jayia was a 2nd grade student who was a little diva that loved her bling and makeup. She was full of energy and never met a stranger. They will be missed dearly by all who knew and loved them especially their father, Billy R. Watford; Paternal grandmother, Patricia Watford and companion Dave; maternal grandparents, Patrick J. Bertrand and Mona F. Bertrand all of Eunice; as well as many aunts, uncles, cousins, and many dear friends.
They now rest in peace with their mother, Carla Fontenot; and paternal grandfather, Cecil E. ''Butch'' Watford, Jr.
At the request of the family, visitation will be held at Ardoin's Funeral Home in Eunice on Saturday, October 3rd from 9:00 am until 1:00 pm. Deacon Gary Gaudin will recite a Rosary at 11:00 am Saturday morning.

REDDELL- It is with great sadness and heavy hearts that the family of Joseph Oledaus Guillory, Jr. age 82, announces his passing at his residence at 10:40 AM. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Wednesday, September 30, 2015 at 2:30 PM at St. Ann's Catholic Church in Mamou. Burial will follow in the Reed Cemetery will Father Thainese as celebrant.
A loving husband, father, brother, grandfather and friend, Joseph will be greatly missed by his wife of 49 years, Brenda Fuselier Guillory of Reddell, son, Steven Guillory of Lafayette, daughters, Rachel Guillory Beaugh of Rayne and Jennifer Guillory Doucet and husband Blackie of Reddell and brother, CJ Guillory and wife Mickey of Thibodeaux. Also left behind to cherish his memory are his six grandchildren: Aaron Beaugh and wife Tiffany, Connor Beaugh, Jonah Beaugh, Zachary Doucet, Caitlin Doucet, Courtney Doucet and his son-in-law, Jonathan Beaugh.
Joseph will now reunite in Heaven with his parents, Oledaus and Edolia Guillory and his brother, Hampton Guillory, Sr.
At the request of the Guillory family, a visitation will be held at Ardoin's Funeral Home in Mamou on Tuesday, September 29, 2015 from 10 AM until 10 PM and will reopen again on Wednesday, September 30, 2015 at 8 AM until time of services. A rosary will be recited in Mr. Guillory's honor Tuesday evening at 6 PM.

A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, October 3, 2015, at 12:00 PM at Quirk & Son
Funeral Home. Pastor John Krause will officiate. Burial will follow at St. Louis Cemetery in Eunice.
Shad is survived by two sons, Daniel Lewis of Eunice and Cole Lewis of Prairie Rhonde; two daughters,
Ashley Lewis of Memphis, TN, and Mia Lewis of Prairie Rhonde; one brother, Jackie Lewis of Burleson, TX;
one sister, Kathy Davis of Delta, LA.
Shad was preceded in death by his parents, Jackie H. Lewis and Barbara Bradshaw Morris; two sisters,
Pamela Ruth Lewis and Penny Sue Lewis.

EUNICE ~ Visitation for Mrs. Edna Daigle James will be held on Saturday, October 3, 2015 from 9:00 am to 11:00 am with funeral services following at 11:00 am, both at New Zion Baptist Church, in Eunice with Rev. Allen W. Ben officiating. Interment will follow in the Mount Olive Cemetery in Eunice.
Mrs. Edna, 84, passed away on September 24, 2015 at 5:10 am at Eunice Manor Nursing Home in Eunice.
Mrs. Edna was a member at New Zion Baptist Church where she served as a Deaconess, Choir Member, and Usher Board. She also worked in the Missionary Society and in the Janitoral Dept. at New Zion Baptist Church.
Survivors include: a son, Darnell James Caesar of Eunice; two daughters: Andrea Daigle of Eunice and Shirley Watts Payne of Port Arthur, TX; 9 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.
Mrs. Edna was preceded in death by her husband, Israel James, Jr.; parents: Mr. & Mrs. Zephrin and Orelia Daigle; three sisters: Agnes Guillory, Theresa Thomas, and Sovelia Semien; three brothers: Cleveland Daigle, Warnia and Jessie Daigle; three step-children: Robert James, Jean Washington, and Jolie Sonnier.
Pallbearers will be: Aaron Watts, Joe Davis, Bryon Robinson, Kurt James, Charles Daigle and D’Onte Washington.

Funeral services for Mr. Wilbert "Buck" Maynard, 89, will be held on Friday, October 2, 2015, at 11:00 AM at First United Methodist Church with burial to follow at Mt. Calvary Cemetery. Rev. Tommy Young will officiate. Buck died on Monday, September 28.
He is survived by his wife, Juanita M Maynard of Clanton, AL; three daughters, Cindy Thibodeaux and her husband Phillip of Lake Charles, LA,
Cathy Meyers and her husband Teddy of Bell City, LA and Lena Irvin and her husband Wallace of Danbury ,TX;
step-son, Jim Blalock of Springville, AL; 11 grandchildren; 11 great grandchildren; 3 great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his first wife, Loretta Grimes Maynard; son, Russell Maynard; grandson, Heath R. Maynard; twelve brothers and sisters.
Buck served his country in the United States Navy during the World War II conflict.
He worked for Transco/Williams for 47 years.
Buck was 32nd degree Scottish Rite Mason with Masonic Lodge #410 in Eunice. He was also a member of the Shriner's.
Buck served the First United Methodist Church in Eunice as a lay minister, especially visiting the small towns surrounding Eunice.
Wallace Irvin, nephew, will deliver the eulogy.
Visitation will begin on Thursday, October 1 at 4 PM until 9 PM. The funeral home will reopen on Friday at 8 AM until service time.

EUNICE~It is with heavy hearts that the family of Nadine Bergeron Thibodeaux announces her passing on the morning of Thursday, October 01, 2015 at Acadia General Hospital with loving family by her side, at the age of 61. A Mass of Christian Burial will be Celebrated at 11:00 am on Saturday, October 03, 2015 at St. Edward Catholic Church in Richard. Rite of Committal will follow in the St. Edward Cemetery with Father Wayne Duet Celebrant.
Nadine was a homemaker and devoted her life to the care of her family. She enjoyed reading, fishing, and playing pokeno. She had a special love for cats and dogs, but her greatest joy in life was her family; her loving husband, Larry Thibodeaux of Eunice; her mother, Lenora Bergeron of Richard; her three children, Danny Lanthier and fiancé, Octabia Gonzalez of Natchez, MS; Brent Lanthier of Basile, Cassie Bullock and husband, Seth of Eunice; step daughter, Heather Thibodeaux of Duson; her brother, Willie Bergeron of Richard; her three sisters, Susan Ardoin of Basile, Cathy Guidry and husband, Carrol and Jessica Gaspard and husband, Mitchell all of Eunice; five grandchildren, Emma Lanthier, Tanner Lanthier, Chloe Bullock, Danica and Jack Lanthier; two step grandchildren, Matthew and Madison; as well as nephews, nieces, extended family and many friends.
She is preceded in death by her father, Jessie Bergeron and brother-in-law, Spluke Ardoin.

Dorothy Cormier Thibodeaux passed away on Friday, October 2, 2015, at the age of 76.
Funeral Services will be held on Monday, October 5, 2015, at 10:30 a.m. at Quirk & Son Funeral

Church Point.
Dorothy is survived by four daughters, Anna Mae Blanchard of Eunice, Sally Lewis and husband
Joseph of Eunice, Ellie Jones and husband Melvin of Eunice, and Belinda Myer and husband Wallie
of Morgan City; two sons, John Wesley Blanchard of Eunice and Neal J. Thibodeaux of Morgan City;
two sisters, Pearl Cormier of Eunice and Sandra Prejean of Eunice; one brother, Rodney Cormier of
Eunice; eleven grandchildren; fifteen great-grandchildren; and one great great-granchild.
Dorothy was preceded in death by her husband John Elgee Thibodeaux; her parents, Ogden Cormier
and Celize LeJeune Cormier; two sisters, Juanita Fontenot and Una Arabie; and three brothers, Audrey
Cormier, Eddie Cormier, and Billy Joe Cormier.
At the request of the family, visitation will be held on Sunday, October 4, 2015, from 10:00 a.m. and open
all night at Quirk & Son Funeral Home in Eunice. A Rosary will be prayed at 7:00 p.m. by Deacon Gary
Gaudin.

Winston Carroll Smith

EUNICE ~ Winston Carroll Smith, formerly of Eunice, was the son of Adam and Winnie Smith. He was born on January 28, 1936 and he passed from this world on Thursday October 1, 2015 at 10:30 PM in Denison, Texas at Texoma Medical Center.
He was preceded in death by his parents, 3 brothers, Gale, Dale and HT “Shrimp” and one sister, Winnie Mae Smith Elchuck of Tucson, Arizona.
Winston “Diggie” attended Acadia Baptist Academy of Eunice for his seventh through 11th grade schooling. He graduated from Eunice High School in 1954, where he excelled in track. While attending SLI, in 1956, he was a participant as a high hurdler in the Sugar Bowl in New Orleans. He graduated in 1960 from Oklahoma Baptist University, where he excelled and had a tremendous track career.
Winston served in the Marine Corps from 1956 – 1958 and was stationed at Twenty Nine Palms in California. He was also a teacher and the girls’ basketball coach at Iota High School.
He has been a Baptist Pastor for 31 years in Louisiana, Texas, Iowa and Oklahoma. He also served in the Gideons International for many years, being a State Officer.
He is survived by his wife, Mary, of Durant, OK, daughter, Shawn Smith Shirey and husband Wayland Shirey of Durant, OK., son, Kris Smith and wife Connie Bourque Smith of New Iberia. 6 grandsons, and 4 great-grandsons and 1 great-granddaughter, and numerous nieces and nephews.
A Memorial service will be held Saturday October 10, 2016, 2PM at the Acadia Baptist Center of Eunice.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Acadian Baptist Center, 1202 Academy Drive, Eunice, LA 70535.

Jennings: It’s with great sadness and heavy hearts that the family of Terry Jeane Reeves, Sr. announces his passing from this life into the arms of Angels on October 1, 2015 at the age of 73.
Funeral Services honoring Terry’s life was held at Matthews and Son Funeral Home in Jennings, LA on Saturday, October 10, 2015 at 10:00 am with Father Charles McMillin officiating.
A gathering of family and friends was held at Matthews and Son Funeral Home beginning on Friday, October 9, 2015 at 5:00 pm until 9:00 pm with a Masonic Service at 6:30 pm. Visitation resumed on Saturday, October 10, 2015 at 8:00 am until the time of his service. Terry will be laid to eternal rest in Ashford Cemetery in Duralde, LA.
Terry was born in Cameron, LA to George D. Reeves and Ezora Broussard Reeves on December 3, 1941. Terry served our country honorably in the United States Air Force. Terry also was a Master Mason and belonged to Lodge 1444 in Conroe, TX. In his spare time Terry enjoyed reading, watching TV, fossil hunting, and most of all spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren that he loved dearly. Terry was loved by many and will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him.
Terry is survived by beloved wife, Deanna F. Reeves of Conroe, TX; four sons, Terry J. Reeves, Jr. (Pamela) of Conroe, TX, Richard Alan Reeves of Conroe, TX, Keith C. Reeves (Tina) of Conroe, TX, Kyle R. Reeves of Spring, TX; four grandchildren, Michael Reeves, Casey Reeves, Ryan Reeves and Steven Turbowd.
Terry now rests in Heaven with the family that preceded him in death, his parents, George and Ezora Reeves; his sister, Debra Reeves.

EUNICE~It is with heavy hearts and great sadness that the family of John Russell Langley announces his passing on Thursday, October 08, 2015 at Acadian Medical Center in Eunice with loving family by his side. He was 86. A Mass of Christian Burial will be Celebrated at 1:00 pm on Saturday, October 10, 2015 at St. Augustine Catholic Church in Basile. Entombment will follow in the St. Augustine Mausoleum with Father David Hebert and Deacon Robbie Leger officiating.
John Russell was a school teacher and Assistant Principal for Basile Middle School and retired after thirty three years of service. He live life to the fullest and had many endeavors, Basile Town Councilman, Parish Assessor, ran the Prince Theatre, owned a service station for two years as well as a Western Auto for twelve years, and a Video Store. But above all this he was a loving husband, father, grandfather and friend and will be missed dearly by all who knew and loved him. He says his greatest achievements were his devoted and loving wife of sixty five years, Iris Langley of Basile; his two loving daughters, Judy Thibodeaux and husband, Tommy of Basile and Becky Leger and husband, Robbie of Eunice; the joys of his life his four grandchildren, Richie Thibodeaux, Jata Crochet, Alex Thibodeaux and Kinsi Leger Heaton; his eight great grandchildren, Paige Bergeaux, Blair Thibodeaux, Tripp, Jon and Lexi Rae Thibodeaux, Briley Crochet, Allison Thibodeaux and Amelie Heaton.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Allie and Alozia Douget Langley and a brother, Lee Curtis Langley.
At the request of the family, visitation will be held at Ardoin's Funeral Home in Basile on Friday, October 8th from 1:30 pm until 10:00 pm and again on Saturday, October 9th from 8:00 am until time of services. A Rosary will be recited at 7:00 pm Friday evening.

EUNICE~It is with heavy hearts and great sadness that the family of Levin L. Fusilier, Jr announces his sudden passing on Sunday, October 04, 2015 in Cumberland, Ohio at the age of 58.
A Celebration of Life will be celebrated at 11:00 am on Saturday, October 17, 2015 at Ardoin’s Funeral Home Chapel in Eunice with Pastor Keven Winbush officiating.
Levin worked as a construction manager in the oilfield and was a true cowboy at heart. He loved the outdoors and raising his cattle. God gave him so many gifts and he enjoyed sharing his knowledge freely with others, especially with his sons who said he was a ‘Jack of all trades.” Levin was always ready to lend a hand to anyone who needed help. Over the years, he opened his home to several young people who needed a roof over their heads and a place to live. On the job, he especially enjoyed solving problems and finding simple solutions for complex problems. Levin was a devoted and loving husband for thirty years to Patricia R. Fusilier of Eunice; a loving and wonderful father to three sons, Ryan Nicholas Fusilier and wife, Connie Renee and Jared Matthew Fusilier all of Eunice, Levin L. Fusilier, III and wife, Terri of Kinder; daughter, Amy Granger Cramer and husband, Anthony “Tony” of Roberts Cove; a loving brother to Patrick Fusilier and wife, Renee of Eunice. The joys of his life his two granddaughters, Rebecca and Abigail Fusilier; as well as extended family and dear friends.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Levin Louis Fusilier, Sr. and Jessie Lou Stanford Fusilier.

EUNICE-It is with heavy hearts that the family of Juanita Vidrine Bazinet announces her passing with loving family by her side at the Oaklane Wellness and Rehabilitation Center. She was 87. Juanita was a former member of the Ladies Altar Society of the Annunciation Catholic Church in Duralde. She enjoyed working in her yard, but most of all she loved being with her family and cooking for them. Juanita was a loving mother, grandmother and friend and will be missed dearly by all who knew and loved her especially her daughters, Ellen Medlin and Sandy Fuselier and previous husband, Donald Fuselier, all of Eunice; six grandchildren, Kevin Fuselier, Michelle Fuselier Boutin, Sammy ' Tut ' Medlin, Nikki May, Amber Arnaud, and Ashley Gaspard; and twelve great grandchildren.
She is preceded in death by her beloved husband, Doris Bazinet; parents, Colin and Felecia Bellon Vidrine; three brothers, Valley Vidrine, SR., Enoza Vidrine, and Joe Vidrine; three sisters, Lura Vidrine Willingham, Annie Lee Vidrine Fontenot, and Lena Vidrine Granger; and son-in-law, Sammy Medlin.

She is preceded in death by her beloved husband, Delton Pitre; daughter, Bobbie Lynn Quattlebaum; and parents, Agnes and Mafie Guillory Brown.

A Celebration of Life will be celebrated on Wednesday, October 14, 2015 at 10:00 am at Ardoin's Funeral Home Chapel in Eunice. Burial will follow in the Guillory Cemetery with Father William Schambough officiating.
JoAnn was a homemaker and devoted her life to the care of her family. She was a very kind and loving woman and spending time with her family and friends brought a great joy to her life. She will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her especially her husband of fifty six years, Percy Guillory of Eunice; her four children, Windy G. Schoeffler and husband, Freddie of Eunice, Randy Guillory and wife, Tiffany of Loberville, TN., Sandy Guillory and wife, Marie of Eunice and Allen Guillory and wife, Rachel of Duralde; one brother, Roger Schambough of Scott and a sister, Hilda Degetaire of Jeanerette; ten grandchildren and fourteen great grandchildren.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Gurvis and Elta Fuselier Schambough and a brother, Robert Schambough.

EUNICE~A wonderful daughter, mother, grandmother and friend, Patricia M. Schneider will be missed by all who knew and loved her. Patricia died on Tuesday, October 13, 2015 in the comfort of her home at the age of 69. A Mass of Christian Burial will be Celebrated at 2:00 pm on Thursday, October 15, 2015 at St. Anthony Catholic Church in Eunice. Rite of Committal will follow in the St. Paul Cemetery with Father Tom Voorhies Celebrant.
Patricia was the retired co-owner of H & R Block as well as a member of St. Anthony Catholic Church, Ladies Altar Society, Catholic Daughters of America and Pink Lady Auxiliary. Her greatest joy in life was her family; her loving father, Fenrick Manuel of Eunice; her two sons, George Schneider, Jr. and Joey Schneider and wife, Lisa all of Eunice; her three grandsons, Trae and Joshua Schneider and Matthew Williams; as well as extended family and dear friends.
She is preceded in death by her mother, Lena Ardoin Manuel; her husband, George Schneider; her daughter, Penny Schneider and her brother, Randy Manuel.
At the request of the family, visitation will be held at Ardoin's Funeral Home in Eunice on Wednesday, October 14th from 3:00 pm until 9:00 pm and again on Thursday, October 15th from 9:00 am until time of services. EUNICE ~ Visitation for Lois Jean Guillory will be from 8:00 am to 11:00 am. A Rosary will be prayed at 9:30 am. Funeral services will follow at 11:00 am on Saturday, October 17, 2015, both at St. Mathilda Catholic Church in Eunice with interment following at St. Mathilda Catholic Church Cemetery. Father Darren J. Eldridge will officate at the services.
Lois Jean Guillory, age 30, passed away October 9, 2015 at 7:15 am at University Hospital in Lafayette, LA.
Lois (T-Lou) enjoyed playing basketball, trail rides, and just being around family and friends. Cooking with Barbeque being her specialty!
Survivors include her parents: Marilyn Elesa Guillory of Eunice; Charles Paige of Oakdale; four brothers: Otis J. Guillory, Sr., and Fredrick Guillory, both of Eunice, Roy J. Guillory of Houston, TX, and Dajon Thompson of Chicago, IL; and one sister, Naquita Thornton of Los Angeles, CA.
She is preceded in death by her paternal grandparents; two aunts; three uncles and one nephew.
Pallbearers will be: Daniel Godrey, Jr., Thaddeus Godfrey, Tobias Guillory, Shon Edwards, Junius Semien, Daryl Hinds, Joseph Edwards, and Jacobi Ardoin.

EUNICE ~ Visitation for Mr. Joseph Oswell Fontenot will be from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm with funeral services following at 1:00 pm, both at First Baptist Church in Chataignier, LA on Saturday, October 17, 2015 with interment following in the Reed Cemetery in Mamou, LA. Rev. Lonnie Guillory will officiate at the service.
Mr. Joseph, 85, passed away on Monday, October 12, 2015 at 12:45 am at Oak Lane Nursing Home in Eunice, LA.
Mr. Joseph was a member of Star Jerusalem Church. He worked as a heavy equipment operator in the Oil Field Industry for over 50 years. He also enjoyed cooking outside with family and friends.
Survivors include: three sons: Charles Fontenot of Chataignier, Joseph L. Fontenot and Tony Fontenot, both of Eunice; one brother, Jeffery Fontenot of Eunice; and one sister, Shirley Dupre of Baton Rouge, LA.
Mr. Joseph was preceded in death by his parents, wife; one son; one brother; and one sister.
Pallbearers will be Avery St. Andre’, Francis Fontenot, Gerard Delafose, Andrew Fontenot, Kendall Fontenot, and Tony Fontenot, Jr.

John Kevin Durio passed away on Tuesday, October 13, 2015, at the age of 52.

John is survived by one daughter, Shay'la Durio and Jarred Daigle; one son, Josh Durio and Ruby Mott; and one brother, Glen Durio.
John was preceded in death by his parents, John Durio and Wilma Manuel Durio; one sister, Samantha Fontenot; and one brother, Keith Durio.

It is with great sadness that the family of Reynald ''R.P.'' Fontenot announces his passing on Tuesday, October 13, 2015 in the comfort of his home at the age of 87. A Mass of Christian Burial will be Celebrated at 10:00 am on Friday, October 16, 2015 at St. Anthony Catholic Church in Eunice. Rite of Committal will follow in the St. Paul Cemetery with Father Travis Abadie Celebrant.
Known as ''R.P.'' to everyone, he proudly served his country in the United States Army. He was a Real Estate Broker and Developer for many years. But most of all he was a loving husband, father, brother, grandfather and friend and will be missed dearly by all who knew and loved him. Left to cherish his memory is his loving and devoted wife of 62 years, Jeanne G. Fontenot of Eunice; four children, Dan Fontenot and wife, Marcia of Eunice, Faith Fontenot Cain and husband, Larry of Kingwood, TX, Tim Fontenot and wife, Cecilia of Eunice and David Fontenot and wife, Nancy of New Iberia; a brother, Pat Fontenot and wife, Theresa of Lafayette; a sister, Kathleen Berry of Lake Charles; his eleven grandchildren, Andre' Fontenot, Jessica Fontenot, Joey Fontenot, Ben Fontenot, Erin Cain, John Cain, Tim Fontenot, Drew Fontenot, Alex Fontenot, Vivian Fontenot and Olivia Fontenot; and eight great grandchildren, Sophie Fontenot, Westin Fontenot, Cora Leigh Fontenot, Andrew, Fontenot, Weller Fontenot, Trip Fontenot, Vivian Fontenot and Camille Fontenot; as well as extended family and dear friends.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Simon and Dora Guillory Fontenot.
At the request of the family, visitation will be held at Ardoin's Funeral Home in Eunice on Thursday, October 15th from 6:00 pm until 9:00 pm. Deacon Gary Gaudin will recite a Rosary at 7:00 pm Thursday evening.
