She was a 55-year member of the Eunice Catholic Daughters #208, and was selected as Grand Regent from 1973-75. At St. Anthony’s Catholic Church, she and her best friend, Hilda Carrier served as counselors for the “Happy Days” program. In addition, Geneva and her husband, L.D. were Pre-Baptism instructors for young couples preparing to celebrate Baptism with their children, and they also served as leaders of the Confirmation program. She served as a member of St. Anthony’s funeral choir. She was a committee member of St. Anthony’s Centennial Celebration. In 1975-76, she received the Community Service Award, and was featured in the “Personalities of the South.” She also served on the Lay Advisory Board at Our Lady of the Oaks Retreat Center in Grand Coteau, La.
