EUNICE- Our hearts are heavy as we have lost a very loving mother, sister, grandmother and friend, Beatrice O. Leonards on Saturday, February 13, 2016 at the Acadian Medical Center. She was 90. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00 am on Monday, February 15, 2016 at St. Lawrence Catholic Church in Mowata. Entombment will follow in the St. Lawrence Mausoleum with Father Joseph Tran, Celebrant.
Beatrice was a dedicated parishioner of St. Lawrence Catholic Church. She was a life-long member of the Catholic Daughters, Ladies Altar Society, and the Pink Ladies. She will be missed dearly by all who knew and loved her especially her three sons, Dickie Leonards and wife, Myrtis of Livonia, Don Leonards and wife, Deborah of Eunice, and Gene Leonards and wife, Colleen of Eunice; her brother, Ray Olinger and wife, Johnnie of Roberts Cove; her two sisters, Rose Marie John of Crowley and Mary Jo Olinger of Roberts Cove; her eight grandchildren, Gary Leonards, Lana Rodriguez, Andrea Ziegenbusch, Kevin Leonards, James Leonards, Christopher Leonards, Drake Leonards, and Casey Leonards; and 12 great grandchildren.
She is preceded in death by her husband, August Leonards, Jr.; parents, Edward and Josephine Dischler Olinger; brothers, Ambrose Olinger and Hilary Olinger; and sister, Irene Petitjean.
At the request of the family, visitation will be held at Ardoin's Funeral Home in Eunice on Sunday, February 14th from 2:00 pm until 9:00 pm and again on Monday, February 15th from 8:00 am until 10:30 am. Deacon Gary Gaudin will recite a Rosary at 7:00 pm on Sunday evening with The Catholic Daughters in attendance.

EUNICE~It is with heavy hearts that the family of Ethel Klumpp Young announces her passing on Sunday, February 14, 2016 at Huntsville Memorial Hospital at the age of 86. A Mass of Christian Burial will be Celebrated at 10:00 am on Wednesday, February 17, 2016 at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Evangeline. Rite of Committal will follow in the Reed Cemetery in Tee Mamou with Father Paul LaFleur Celebrant.
Ethel was a wonderful cook and loved raising chickens and gardening, but most of all she loved her family. She was a loving mother, sister, grandmother, friend, and will be missed dearly by all who knew and loved her especially her son, Russel M. Young, Jr and wife, Carole of Basile; her sister, Mary Klumpp Johnson of Basile; her three grandchildren, Stephanie, Rebecca and Erin and one great-grandson, Jack; as well as extended family and friends.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Russel M. Young, Sr; her parents, Phillip and Vernice Beard Klumpp; and her two brothers, Walter and Paul Klumpp.
At the request of the family, visitation will be held at Ardoin's Funeral Home in Eunice on Tuesday, February 16th from 10:00 am until 10:00 pm and again on Wednesday, February 17th from 8:00 am until 9:15 am. Deacon David Guillory will recite a Rosary at 7:00 pm Tuesday evening.

EUNICE ~ Visitation for Akeem Adiddias, 22 will be held on Saturday, February 20, 2016 from 9:00 am to 11:00 am with a Memorial service following at 11:00 am, both at Golden Start Baptist Church in Eunice. Rev. Matthew Alfred will be officiating the service.
Akeem passed away in Eunice. He enjoyed the outdoors, playing video games and just being around family and friends.
He is survived by his mother, Vanessa M. Lewis of Eunice, LA; father, Wilden Ceasar of Basile, LA; and his grandmother, Julia Miller of Eunice, LA; four sisters: Kimberly Arceneaux and Vanity Perrodin, both of Lake Charles, LA, Alpolonia Allison of Eunice, LA, and Angel Lewis of Natchitoches, LA.
Akeem was preceded in death by one sister, Latrell Guillory; great grandmothers, Ella Alfred and Ethel Beriod; and a great aunt, Mary Semien.

David is survived by his wife Patricia Darbonne McManus of Iowa; one daughter, Beth M. Calais and husband Michael of La Porte, TX; two sons, David Todd McManus and wife Rhonda of Parker, CO and
Michael Wayne McManus and wife Jerri Lynne of New Caney, TX; three sisters, Beth M. Odom of Lake Charles, Susie M. Courville of Eunice, and Cindy M. Street of Eunice; two brothers, Charles McManus and wife Betty of Lake Charles
and Bill McManus and wife Shirley of Iowa; five grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
David was preceded in death by his parents, Nathan H. McManus and Betty Carpenter McManus and one brother, Jack McManus.

Mr. Wesley, age 78, passed away Wednesday, February 17, 2016 at Acadiana/Mercy Regional Medical Center of Eunice at 10:06 pm.
He was a faithful Deacon at New Zion Baptist Church. Mr. Wesley enjoyed attending his Church Services regularly. He also enjoyed fishing and hunting, cooking and serving in his community.
Survivors include his wife of 51 years, Mrs. Myrtle E. Neville of Eunice, LA; one son, Briney C. Neville of Eunice, LA; one daughter, Jacqueline P. Vallare of Eunice, LA; four brothers: Allen Neville, Elijah Neville and Gilbert Neville, Sr., all of Eunice, LA and Wilbert Neville of Houston, TX; 4 grandchildren: April Guillory and Paula Neville, both of Eunice, LA, Turquoise Guillory of Lake Charles, LA, and Jaymes Guillory of Katie, TX; 4 great-grandchildren: Jazlyn Eunice and Kaitlyn Edwards, both of Eunice, LA, Dazjah Dalcour of Lake Charles, LA, and Wesley Guillory of Katie, TX.
Mr. Wesley was preceded in death by his parents; one daughter; three sisters, and two brothers.
Pallbearers will be: Gilbert Neville, Jr., Joshua Neville, Carter Wayne Eglia, Gregory Lewis, Donald Joseph, Brandon Neville, and Glenn Edwards, Jr.

A Rosary will be prayed at St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church in Eunice at 8:30 a.m. on Saturday, February 27, 2016. Visitation will be held in the Church from 9:00 a.m. until time of service.
Jerry is survived by his son, Jed Reviere and wife Cindy Hidalgo Reviere; three granddaughters, Lauren Reviere Turner and husband Austin, Adrienne Reviere, and Lesley Reviere Ott and husband Zach; and two great-grandchildren, Lucas Randall Turner and Jack Reviere Turner.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Jean Venable Reviere; his parents, Eulice Joseph Reviere, Sr. and Oriza Darbonne Reviere; one granddaughter, Leah Denise Reviere; one brother, Horace Reviere; and four sisters, Bertha Reviere Fontenot, Pearl Reviere Daigle, Gloria Reviere Ardoin, and Dorothy Reviere Miller.

EUNICE-Funeral services for Mr. L. J. Ardoin, Sr., 78, will be held on Saturday, February 27, 2016 at 11:00 am, with the visitation beginning at 8:00 am, at the Golden Star B. C. in Eunice, LA. Burial will be in the St. Mathilda Cemetery in Eunice, LA. Rev. Matthew Alfred, Jr. will officiate the funeral ceremony.
Just as He promised, Jesus has prepared a place for all believers. On the morning of Wednesday, February 17, 2016, at Acadian Medical Center in Eunice, LA, our beloved brother, L. J. Ardoin, Sr., was called to his Heavenly home.
Filled with empty wells of loneliness, yet cherishing fond memories of him will be his devoted wife of 55 years, Maudry P. Ardoin; two sons: L. J. (Karen) Ardoin, Jr. and Cardell (Heather) Ardoin both of Eunice, LA; two daughters: Marie Ardoin and Sophia Ardoin (Raymond) Cole both of Eunice, LA; one sister: Julia Miller of Eunice, LA; his brothers-in law: Horace (Dora) Poullard, Jimmy (Audrey) Gallow all of Eunice, LA and Herman Jason of Lake Charles, LA; 16 grandchildren; 31 great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Awaiting his arrival in heaven were his parents: Ella and Willie Ardoin, one son, De’Angelo Keith Ardoin, one daughter, Faith Ann Ardoin; one grandson, Jordan J. Vallere; four sisters and one brother.

IOTA ~ A Mass of Chrisitian Burial was held on Saturday, February 27, 2016 at 1:00 p.m. at St Joseph Catholic Church, Iota for Lucy LeJeune Matthews, 90, who passed away at her home in Iota surrounded by family on February 25, 2016 at 3.45 a.m.
She was a mother, grandmother and great grandmother. She also was a long time member of St. Joseph Catholic Church, Catholic Daughters of the Americas, St. Joseph Ladies Altar Society, St. Martha’s Guild. She retired from Acadia Parish School Board after working 20 plus years in Iota High’s cafeteria.
Fr. Jude Thierry, Pastor of St. Joseph Catholic Church officiated for the services. The family requested visiting hours Friday from 2:00 p.m. to 12:45 p.m. Saturday. A rosary was recited on Friday at 6:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Burial followed in St. Joseph Mausoleum.
Ms. Lucy as she was known is survived by her six daughters, Linda Marshall and her husband Harvey “Butch” of Hathaway, Susan Boone and her husband John of Eunice, Betty Leger and her husband Blaine of Iota, Janice LeJeune and her husband Charlie of Iota, Cathy Beard and her husband Dale of Iota, and Sally Deaville of Iota; 17 grandchildren and 34 great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents Sidney and Amenthe Ledoux Lejeune, three brothers Percy, Theodore and Sidney Jr, two sisters Viola Davy and Rose Seilhan, and a son-in-law Tommy Deaville. She was also preceded in death by her former husband Leighton Matthews.
Pall bearers were Chad Marshall, Jordan Aid, Corey Leger, Dakota St. Andre, Billy Yeager, and Tommy Deaville Jr.

Herman is survived by his wife, Amelise Trahan LeJeune of Eunice; one stepdaughter, Becky Trude of Iowa; one sister-in-law, Sandra Lejeune of Branch; three grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
Herman was preceded in death by his parents, Olan LeJeune and Lena Mae Thibodeaux LeJeune and two brothers, Elige LeJeune and Felton LeJeune.

Joseph "J.C." Labbie

EUNICE-Our hearts are heavy as we have lost a loving husband, father, brother, grandfather and friend, Joseph ''J.C.'' Labbie at Rapides Regional Medical Center in Alexandria at the age of 77. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 12:00 pm on Saturday, March 12, 2016 at St. Anthony Catholic Church in Eunice. Rite of Committal will follow in the St. Paul Cemetery with Father Travis Abadie, Celebrant.
Joseph, known as J.C., was a well-known accordion player. He had a Cajun band and played all over Louisiana, Mississippi, Texas, California, and even in Graz, Austria at a music festival. He played his accordion every Saturday morning for 20 years at Diana's Brass Rail in Mamou. He was also an avid football fan and brought his grandchildren and great grandchildren to every game during football season. He loved the Eunice High Bobcats, LSU and the Saints. J.C. will be missed dearly by all who knew and loved him especially his loving and devoted wife of 56 years, Delores V. Labbie of Eunice; three daughters, Carla Manuel and husband, Tim of Eunice, Emily Negrini and husband, Mike of Katy, TX, and Jennifer Labbie and Kevin of Eunice; sister, Marie Fontenot of Mamou; four grandchildren, Bryan Labbie, Joshua Lejeune, Hali Guillory, and Kristi Negrini; and four great grandchildren, Aiden Lejeune, Kason Guillory, Keidon Guillory, and Allie Jo Fruge.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Joseph and Clemance Thibodeaux Labbie.
At the request of the family, visitation will be held at St. Anthony Catholic Church in Eunice on Saturday, March 12th from 10:00 am until time of services. A rosary will be recited by Layton Thibodeaux at 11:30 am on Saturday morning.

EUNICE~Our hearts are heavy as we have loss a loving father, brother, grandfather and friend Clinton Charlie, on Monday, March 14, 2016 at the age of 69. At the request of the family, visitation will be held at Ardoin's Funeral Home in Eunice on Tuesday, March 15, 2016 from 11:00 am until 9:00 pm.
Clinton, known as Chef Cajun Charlie loved cooking true Cajun food. He and his wife, Linda were the owners of the orginal Charlie's PoBoy and later opened Charlie's Seafood Restaurant on Hwy 190 in Eunice. They moved to Sulphur and were the owner and operators of Cajun Charlie's Seafood Restaurant. His hobbies were fishing and playing golf. Above all this he served the Lord and brought many to his knowledge. He will be missed dearly by all who knew and loved him especially his son, Mark Blaine Charlie and wife, Paula of Sulphur; his siblings, Fred Charlie and wife, Dolores of Eunice, Brenda Charlie Ardoin and husband, Leonard of Ville Platte, Barbara Charlie Thibodeaux and husband, Steven ''Thiby'' of Grand Prairie and Brian Keith Charlie of Ville Platte; the joys of his life his three grandchildren, Lace Nicole Charlie of Lake Charles, Marshall and Landon Charlie of Sulphur and one great granddaughter, Addyson ''Adda'' Dupont; numerous nieces and nephews.
He is preceded in death by his wife, Linda Bass Charlie; daughter, Shelly Jean Charlie; parents, Joseph and Maizie Perron Charlie; baby sister, Linda ''Lil Marie'' Charlie; and a brother, Joseph Wilfred Charlie.

EUNICE~It's with heavy hearts and great sadness that the family of Rolan ''Bo'' Babineaux announces his passing on Monday, March 14, 2016 at Oaklane Wellness & Rehabilitation Center in Eunice at the age of 81. A Mass of Christian Burial will be Celebrated at 10:00 am on Wednesday, March 16, 2016 at St. Thomas More Catholic Church in Eunice. Rite of Committal will follow in the St. Thomas More Cemetery with Father Sensat Celebrant.
Rolan, known to many as ''Bo'', was retired from Sattler Supply. He drove a school bus for St. Landry Parish for 32 years as did his father for 18 years prior and his son who has taken over this same route for the past 19 years. He was a great man of integrity, caring, loving, unselfish, and a man of great faith. A Love for his family and love for his Lord Jesus Christ. A man who was giving of himself not only to his family but to others he loved so much. He enjoyed gardening and spending his free time with his family. He was a wonderful father, brother, grandfather and friend and will be missed dearly by all who knew and loved him, especially by his three children, Chris Rhodus and husband, Jack of Prairieville, Mindy Turner and husband, Randy and Kevin Babineaux and wife, Donna all of Eunice; his sister, Laura Dupuis of Vidor; his nine grandchildren, Trey Turner and wife, Jessica of Eunice, Meghan Babineaux and Clay Babineaux both of Prairieville, Seth Turner and wife, Emilee of Rayville, Camille Maggio and husband, Blaine of Prairieville, Jillian Babineaux of Chicago, Stuart Turner and wife, Danielle of Eunice, Adam Rhodus and Bruce Rhodus both of Prairieville; his three great granddaughters, Skyleigh Maggio, Adalynn and Annabelle Turner; as well as extended family and friends.
He is preceded in death by his wife, Lois ''Totsie'' Sattler Babineaux; parents, Desire and Hilda Carrier Babineaux; and a sister, Dorothy Babineaux.
At the request of the family, visitation will be held at Ardoin's Funeral Home in Eunice on Tuesday, March 15th from 6:00 pm until 9:00 pm and again on Wednesday, March 16 from 8:00 am until time of services. Deacon David Guillory will recite a Rosary at 7:00 pm Tuesday evening.
